What is Project 2025?
Project 2025 is a comprehensive conservative policy initiative spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation, a prominent right-wing think tank, and is being implemented by President Trump’s administration through executive order, policy proposals and administrative actions. It aims to reshape the U.S. federal government by implementing conservative policies and restructuring key government agencies. The project is built on four pillars: a policy guide, a database of vetted personnel, a training program for potential appointees, and a playbook for actions to be taken within the first 180 days of a conservative administration.
Key Proposals:
Replace merit-based civil service workers with loyal appointees.
Abolish the Department of Education and cut federal education funding.
Reduce corporate taxes and implement a flat income tax.
Cut Medicare and Medicaid funding.
Roll back environmental regulations to favor fossil fuels.
Implement stricter immigration policies, including mass deportations.
Weaken labor unions and worker protections.
Allow minors to work in hazardous jobs without parental consent.
